Today’s blog post features a summertime engagement session between Amber and Clay in the Barton Creek Greenbelt.

Amber inquired about an engagement session on the recommendation of a friend of mine I met through Instagram (@lovedelfoto). Referrals like these are some of my favorite as they would never be possible without sharing our work with the world through social media.

For all portrait sessions, I always have a few location ideas to suggest but its so lovely when a couple comes with several ideas of their own. In this case, Amber and Clay had something in mind for their session and it almost exactly matched a vision I have had in my head for the past few weeks.

I always have a few questions for couples before moving too far into the process of booking a session, and Amber and Clay mentioned they enjoyed hiking in the greenbelt. Great!

Amber and Clay were a dream to work with and had absolutely no reservations about spending a couple hours in the Texas sun (and taking a quick dip too!).

With scattered summer showers throughout the week before , I checked the water levels at the greenbelt every day leading up to Saturday’s afternoon session.

By the day of the shoot, the greenbelt was in perfect condition for the type of shots we wanted. We are so excited to share and celebrate the love shared between Amber and Clay.

We hoped you enjoyed reading about this session and we’d love to hear what you think!

Thank’s y’all!
