Like many other photographers, I’ve dabbled in music photography, starting with my favorite bands in town at various venues downtown.
A few years back I decided to bring my camera to SXSW and loved being up front (with ear plugs of course!). Some of that body of work led me to being selected to shoot for SXSW – an absolutely incredible experience.
I’ve also been hosted at the Mohawk, for Of Montreal, through a friend (who now lives in Seoul) of a friend who is an amazing music photographer that I inspires me constantly.
BUTTTTT this year was the first year I was commissioned to shoot music during SXSW.
