It’s hard to believe this little guy is already a year old!
I was thrilled when Inti and Michelle asked me if I wanted to help them celebrate Azul’s first birthday with a few portraits.
There were a lot of great ideas for this set of photos but I think Azul as a little baking helper was my favorite.
Every photoshoot is different, everyone responds differently and deals with the camera in their own way. And when you’re shooting kids, you have to really be ready because they don’t really hold a pose.
Amazing parents really make the difference (in photoshoots and of course, in general) and these two did an incredible job.
But the birthday boy really came with his A game.
Balloons always seem to catch people’s attention, young and old.
Gosh he is cute.
We did a few traditional poses as well.
And this is probably my second favorite image from the set.
A super dad and his son, with matching capes.
Dustin’ off that shoulder.
The first of many birthdays.
Catching Azul after a short flight around the back yard.
Inti and I came up together as engineers at the University of Texas, he was always a great student and his practical knowledge is no slouch. He decided Azul needed a sandbox so he looked at a few photos online and built a sandbox from scratch.
It was quite the day. I don’t think I’ve had as much fun at a one year old’s birthday party in my life.
Best of all, the portraits came out amazing. I’m beyond happy I got to be a part Azul’s first birthday and help capture him at his best.
Cheers and Happy Birthday Azul!
