Our work is a mixture of lifestyle, candid and environmental photography.
Let’s start with lifestyle. The main theme behind lifestyle photography is capturing scenes from everyday life. It’s those tender moments shared with your partner, the stories and laughter, the spontaneous dancing while making dinner, the handholding as you make your way through your neighborhood.
Candid photography means that the subject is not necessarily ready or expecting a photo to be taken at that moment. It’s those in between moments that can be pure magic.
Environmental photography is mainly about location in that its showcases both the subject and the scene around them. Often taking place outdoors, it’s your favorite hiking trail, or the first ice cream parlor you visited, it’s that street you first held hands on, and its that large oak tree you sat under and had your first picnic together.
Depending on you and your story, our approach to photography combines all three styles as we go through your session.
We’ve been there! We know the feelings that come from being on the other side of the camera, how awkward it can feel when you’re standing there, wondering what to do. You’re not alone! We’re coming to your photo session ready to set you at ease. We’ll go over any ideas you have along with ours and let you know what we think will work best.
We have tons of poses in our back pocket ready to fit to your style and personality. We’re totally down to up the ante, by showing you exactly how to move ourselves, which let’s face it, often leads to a lot of laughter and helps set everyone ease just a little bit more. For us, it’s usually not even about the pose itself, it’s more about capturing those in-between moments where your personalities really shine through.
Today, maybe all you want are those candid, sweet and endearing unscripted moments but in a few years, you may be thankful to have a few traditional images as well.
Absolutely! If you’re not a fashionista, don’t worry we’re more than happy to help you select outfits that are flattering, fit the location and the overall theme of your session with us.
For each hour of shooting, we typically provide about 50 images. We don’t set a hard limit on the number of photos you’ll receive. Trust us, if it’s a good image we want you to have it!
You will receive your edited photos within about 20 days following your session. Depending on our schedule, we may deliver the images much sooner and we will let you know what to expect. We also provide a few select images to our clients the day after, just to try and hold you over.
To book a session, we require a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total fee. The remaining balance is due no later than the day of your session with us.
We accept Cash, Check (written out to Delfoto LLC), Credit Card, PayPal and Venmo. We also accept Bitcoin!
